Join us at Stay-N-Play this summer for lots of fun! Each week’s theme will include crafts, stories, music, movement, educational activities, field trips, & free play.

Flexible, hourly scheduling & billing allows parents to customize camp days & hours. Whether your children come for an hour, a day, a week, or for the entire summer, they’re sure to have a great time! Call or stop by to ask a team member about pricing options.

June 11-15                  “Welcome Summer!”

  • Father’s Day stories & craft
  • Father’s Day Luncheon
  • sun and pool safety
  • field trip to a splash pad (W, O, FT) *
  • Wear Your Shades Day

June 18-22                 “Out to Sea” Beach Week

  • International Picnic Day
  • field trip to a park for a picnic (O, FT)
  • field trip to Cane Creek Park  – beach play, swimming, mini golf (W, O, FT, $)
  • sand & water play
  • seashell hunt
  • ocean animals

June 25-29                “Community Helpers”

  • Visit from a local community rescue helper
  • Thank you notes to local community helpers
  • Fire safety
  • field trip to Discovery Place Kids (FT, $) or airport observation lot (FT, O)

July 2-6                      “Red, White, and Blue”

  • History of the American flag & flag craft
  • The Pledge of Allegiance & our national anthem
  • Red Day, White Day, & Blue Day
  • Our own Independence Day parade
  • National Fried Chicken Day – eat fried chicken for lunch

July 9-13                    “Clownin’ Around” Carnival

  • make & eat popcorn
  • carnival games
  • Jell-O eating contest
  • dress up like a clown
  • field trip to Monkey Joe’s (FT, $)

July 16-20                  “Go GREEN”

  • crafts with recyclable items
  • plants – plant our own mini garden
  • water & energy conservation

July 23-27                  “Around the World”

  • sample foods from other countries (lasagna on National Lasagna Day!)
  • learn about Mexico, Italy, Australia, Japan, and England
  • music from around the world
  • 2012 Summer Olympics begin in London
  • field trip to airport observation deck (FT, O) or Extreme Ice Center (FT, $)

July 30-August 3      “Sports & Stay-N-Play Olympics”

  • history of Olympics
  • teamwork & sportsmanship
  • Stay-N-Play Olympic games
  • field trip to Sports Connection (FT, $) or Sky High Sports (FT, $)
  • Introduction to Karate

August 6-10               “Out of this World”

  • sample freeze dried astronaut foods
  • build a rocket ship & blast off
  • space crafts
  • phases of the moon
  • National S’mores Day – make & eat s’mores

August 13-17              “Music Matters”

  • free music class
  • listen to different styles of music
  • explore new instruments & create a marching band
  • make your own take-home instruments
  • field trip to Imaginon – storytime & playtime (FT)

August 20-24            “Mad Science”

  • make homemade ice cream & end-of-summer ice cream party
  • field trip to Discovery Place (FT, $)
  • science experiments
  • Stay-N-Play science lab
*ACTIVITY CODES
W – wet activity (bring/wear swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, hat, dry clothes
O – outdoor activity (bring/wear sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
FT – field trip (most for ages 4+)
$ – Extra fee required for admission, activity, etc.

** Other field trips may be added, such as visits to Stallings Municipal Park, Indian Trail’s Crossing Paths, or the new Sun Valley movie theater.
